So this is what I dreamed about last night (I'm warning you now, it was really weird...):
The first part of my dream really has nothing to do with anything, but I'll write about it anyway. So I'm at school on a Monday morning and my friend Rachel and I are standing outside talking. I'm wearing my uniform because I forgot it was a non-dress code day, and I'm freaking out because I'm the only person not wearing casual clothes.
Then my mom drives up in our car and tells me she has some clothes for me in the trunk. She gets out a plastic Walmart bag with three pairs of jeans in it and hands it to me, telling me that they belonged to my great grandmother.
At this point, I'm just glad I have something else to wear, so I put on the first pair of jeans and am surprised to find that they're my size! I take off my uniform shirt, and I'm wearing a white t-shirt underneath. I still think it looks a little plain, so I ask my mom for her leopard-print scarf she's wearing, but she gives me a turquoise infinity scarf instead.
Then all of a sudden, I turn into Selena Gomez, and I'm in some huge house with the guys who played her brothers on Wizards of Waverly Place, but they're my actual brothers. We hang out for a little while, but then the guys turn into Nazis, and they're surrounded by evil Vegas showgirls (weird, right?!). They start chasing me through the house. The walls shift, the stairs and floors move, and the lights change as we run through the rooms.
They chase me around for the majority of the dream, until I come into a room with an ambulance in the middle of it. I crawl inside the back, thinking that it's a great place to hide, but my Nazi brothers and their evil showgirls find me and start rocking the ambulance. So I climb into the driver's seat and realize my friends are also in the ambulance. They yell at me to buckle up and drive away, so I do. We drive all through the house, even up and down the stairs, and eventually we outrun my brothers and their showgirls.
When I think it's safe, I look back and try to check on my friends, but they're not there. I climb out of the ambulance, and suddenly, I'm myself again. I'm afraid the Nazis and showgirls are still chasing me, so I go into a room that looks just like the kitchen in my house and hide in the the laundry room next to it. I curl up into a ball and try to think happy thoughts, but then the door opens. It's Selena Gomez, and she presses up against the wall across from me. She looks at me and says something, but I don't remember what.
We wait in there for a little while. But when we finally think it's safe to come out, Selena's brothers open the door. They're not in their Nazi uniforms, luckily, and the showgirls are no where in sight, so we come out with them into my kitchen.
Then I'm Selena again, and I flashback to how the whole thing started. I'm in my aunt's house with my mom (again, the one from Wizards of Waverly Place), and I tell her I want to do something really nice for her. I have a surprise downstairs, but for some reason, I don't know what it is. We walk downstairs, and some random lady and a guy are downstairs mopping the floor. And then.... I wake up. :( Oh, well.

That's one detailed dream! Here's what some of it means:
ReplyDeleteNew or expensive clothes reflect confidence, pride, or well-being; brightly colored ones (turquoise is pretty bright, isn't it?) convey a positive outlook. Dreams that involve being chased are distressing, but if you recognize who is chasing you (Nazis!) it may show who or what you're actually scared of. Seeing the walls, stairs and floors move may be encouraging you to take on a different aspect or angle in the way you see things. If you were in the driver's seat in the ambulance, that represents being in control of your life, taking charge of your destinies and steering your own fates.
So not all meanings of dreams really fit together, do they? Nice memory! :) From Rosey
