You may be wondering about the title of my blog right about now. It's a quote by Dr. Seuss (the greatest writer of ALL time!), which reads, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."
This is my absolute favorite quote for this time in my life. This is my last year at my private Christian school. Next year, I'll be leaving behind all that is familiar, all my friends and my class, who have become more like family to me. I'll be moving on to the big bad world of public high school (GASP!!!). I'm not even afraid to go to a different school! What I'm afraid of most right now is graduating from my old school. I'll miss everyone so much; I can't imagine what life will be like without the kids I've grown up with!
I really need to stop worrying and reminiscing and start living that little quote by Dr. Seuss. I need to live in the moment and then move on, knowing that these last two years with my "family" have truly been the best years of my life. And for that, I want to thank all my friends I'm made. I hope we'll always keep in touch and never be too busy for our "brothers" and "sisters" whom we've drawn so close to. <3
Great, now I'm gonna cry. :,-( But trust me, I'll soon be smiling. :-)
